Last updated Sep 3, 2026Rip sends no telemetry, analytics, crash reports, or usage pings. It has no app account. Rip reaches the network only when a feature needs it: loading a pull or merge request, posting a review, or checking for a new version.
Rip runs GitHub CLI or GitLab CLI for pull requests, merge requests, comments, and reviews. Each CLI handles authentication and talks to its host. Rip never stores or sends your GitHub or GitLab credentials, and we never receive your code or comments. To recognize a self-hosted GitLab, Rip uses only the host names in GitLab CLI's configuration.
Stripe Managed Payments is our merchant of record. Stripe collects the contact and payment details needed to process your purchase, handle taxes, and issue your receipt. We keep your email address and license key so we can resend them. We send marketing only if you opt in.
ripeditor.com is static. It sets no cookies and runs no analytics or third-party scripts. Cloudflare serves the site and may process standard request data, including your IP address and user agent.
Email us to access, correct, or delete the personal data we control. For most customers, that means an email address and license key. We update this policy when those facts change.
